A display apparatus, and a method for providing information thereof are provided. The method for providing information of the display apparatus comprises the following steps of: displaying image content; recognizing at least one from a motion and a voice of a user to acquire related information on the image content, during the image content displaying; transmitting query data, generated by at least one from the recognized motion and the voice of the user, to an external server; and, when the related information on the image content, which responds to the query data from the external server is received, providing the received related information.
