PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent sealant for display elements which is excellent in transparency of its hardened product and reliability in high-temperature and high-humidity environments and can suppress adverse effects on the display performance due to generation of outgas.SOLUTION: A transparent sealant for display elements comprises at least one diene compound selected from compounds of specified formulae which has a cyclo ring and two unsaturated bonds bonded to both sides through an ester group, a polythiol compound having two or more thiol groups in one molecule and a photopolymerization initiator.
