PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow authentication processing of a connection device to be started with a simplified configuration in a printer system in which the plurality of connection devices such as a paper feed tray can be connected to a printer.SOLUTION: Authentication processing is executed when a signal transmitted from a printer 2 and corresponding to a start instruction signal Ti input to electric resistances 3E, 4E is input, and level processing is executed when the authentication processing is terminated. A plurality of connection devices 3, 4 connected in multi-stage in series to the printer 2 can be sequentially authenticated with a simplified configuration using the electric resistances 3E, 4E without using an AND gate. Consequently, reliability and durability in a printer system 1 can be improved. |
