PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide magnetic toner that is excellent in low-temperature fixability, and is less likely to generate tailing, scattering, and a void, unevenness and roughening of a toner image caused by oppositely charged toner at the time of transfer of the image.SOLUTION: Magnetic toner includes toner particles containing a binder resin and magnetic iron oxide particles. The binder resin includes a resin having a polyester unit in which at least one aliphatic compound selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid having 30 to 102 carbon atoms and an aliphatic monoalcohol having 30 to 102 carbon atoms is condensed at a terminal. The content of the magnetic iron oxide particles in the toner particles is 30 to 80 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the binder resin in the toner particles. The magnetic iron oxide particles satisfy (i) a number-based median size D50 of 0.05 to 0.15 μm; (ii) a number-based D10/D50 of 0.40 to 1.00; and (iii) a number-based D90/D50 of 1.00 to 1.50. |
