PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission mode converter which allows for connection of a differential line and a waveguide without intervention of a balun.SOLUTION: A transmission mode converter includes a square waveguide 2 having a pair of wide walls 2a, 2b and a pair of narrow walls 2c, 2d, a pair of differential lines 4a, 4b provided on the surface of one wide wall 2a constituting the waveguide 2 via a dielectric layer 3, in parallel with each other, and a mode converter 5 performing conversion of the transmission mode between the pair of differential lines 4a, 4b and the waveguide 2. The mode converter 5 has a conductor pin 12 connected with one end side of at least one differential line 4a out of the pair of differential lines 4a, 4b. The conductor pin 12 is provided to project toward inside of the waveguide 2, in non-contact therewith. |
