<p>Abstract The present invention provides a mooring platform (111) to which a vessel (135) can be secured. The mooring platform comprises a support surface (113) for supporting an operator, and an anchor point, in the form of a capstan (127), to which the vessel may be secured. The mooring platform has a neutral side (119) which has a permanent barrier (121) therealong, and a mooring side (117) to which the vessel may be secured relative to. The mooring side has a handrail (129) which is moveable between a first position and a second position.
