Disclosed is a novel unsaturated oligo or polyester obtained by subjecting a raw material composition comprising (A) at least one carboxylic acid component, comprising at least one furandicarboxylic acid or an ester or a halide thereof, and (B) an alcohol component, comprising at least one mono, di, tri or polyhydric alcohol, to one or more esterification and/or transesterification reaction (s).
