1. A method of controlling a drive means mechanically connected to a reciprocating linear motion double acting pump (2), comprising:
regulating control of the drive means using a speed measurement during phases of operation of the pump during which a piston of the pump is moving in just one direction, ascent (109) or descent (102); and regulating control of the drive means using a torque setpoint value immediately after a reversal (107, 114) of direction of travel of the piston, so as to obtain a flow rate of liquid or pasty product pumped by the reciprocating linear motion double acting pump that is substantially constant, while at the same time reducing pressure pulses during pump operation. |
