Disclosed is a vehicle position measurement device provided with a positioning processing unit, a positioning information memory unit, a communication unit, and an update unit. The positioning processing unit estimates the current position of a vehicle. The positioning information memory unit associates the vehicle position estimated by the positioning processing unit with the time of estimation, and cumulatively stores said information. The communication unit receives a signal transmitted from a communication device installed in a fixed location, and uses the received signal to detect where the vehicle was when the signal was received. The update unit uses the vehicle position detected by the communication unit to update vehicle positions stored in the positioning information memory unit associated with times at and after the time at which the communication unit received the signal. |
