<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas purifying catalyst which reduces the consumption amount of a noble metal and also exhibits more excellent gas purifying performance. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas purifying catalyst includes a perovskite-type composite oxide shown by general formula (1) La(Fe<SB POS="POST">1-x</SB>Cu<SB POS="POST">x</SB>)O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>[in the formula, x is an atomic ratio of 0<x<0.3]. As the exhaust gas purifying catalyst contains no expensive noble metal, cost reduction is carried out. Additionally, La is contained at the A site of the perovskite-type composite oxide, Fe and Cu are contained at the B site thereof, and also the atomic ratio x of Cu is in the range of 0<x<0.3, so that the exhaust gas is effectively purified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
