<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convert packets between networks and shorten the length of a packet. <P>SOLUTION: Information on a position marked with a diagonal line in (3) IPv4 headers of an IPv4 packet is stored in a predetermined position in an IPv6 header of an IPv6 packet.
