PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a plate-like body which can remove an affected layer generated in a chamfering process and suppress shape collapse of the plate-like body.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a plate-like body comprises: a chamfering process of forming a chamfered part and a side face part on an end face of the plate-like body; and an end face polishing process of polishing the chamfered part and the side face part with a rotary brush. After the chamfering process and before the end face polishing process, the manufacturing method of the plate-like body has a chamfered part processing process of processing the chamfered part with a rubber grindstone. The rubber grindstone comprises a plurality of abrasive grains and rubber coupling the plurality of abrasive grains, and has a first processing face and a second processing face which come into contact with the plate-like body. In the chamfered part processing process, the plate-like body is inserted between the first processing face and the second processing face, a gap formed between the first processing face and the second processing face is pushed and expanded, and the chamfered part is processed by the first processing face or the second processing face. |
