PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress instability of vehicular behavior caused by a failure during a travel-in-turning.SOLUTION: A power steering system is incorporated in a vehicle, the system including: a motor having two multi-phase coils; a power supply part having two power supplies, for supplying each phase coil of the motor with power; and a control part having inverters corresponding to the multi-phase coils, for controlling the power to be supplied to each phase coil. Further, in a case where one of the inverters fails while the vehicle is travelling-in-turning on a travel road, the control part causes the vehicle to gradually travel near the center line of the travel road, and limits, to a given value or less, a decrease in torque during switching from one inverter to another inverter. |
