PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cationic curing catalyst improving the preservation stability of a cation-curable resin composition.SOLUTION: A method for producing a cationic curing catalyst includes mixing a Lewis acid represented by formula (1) (wherein, R is the same or different, and represents a hydrocarbon group capable of having a substituent; x is an integer of 1-5, is the same or different, and represents the number of fluorine atoms bonded to an aromatic ring; and a is an integer ≥1, b is an integer ≥0, and they satisfy a+b=3) and a Lewis base under the existence of water of an amount ≥55 mol.% to the Lewis acid. |
