PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an SOC estimation device and estimation method for a secondary battery, capable of estimating SOC with high accuracy even when an off-set value of a current sensor cannot be acquired.SOLUTION: An SOC estimation device 100 performs, when an off-set value of a current sensor 3 can be acquired, off-set correction to a discharge current of a secondary battery 1 measured by a current sensor 3, and on the basis of an integrated value of the corrected current, estimates the SOC of the secondary battery 1; and when the off-set value of the current sensor 3 cannot be acquired, estimates the SOC of the secondary battery 1 on the basis of a discharge current, not subjected to off-set correction, of the secondary battery 1 measured by the current sensor 3 and a closed circuit voltage (CCV) of the secondary battery 1 measured by a voltage sensor 4. |
