<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ONU having a power saving function using dynamic Shedding operation. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device installed between a network device and a terminal device comprises: terminal connection means for communicating with the terminal device; communication interface means for communicating with the network device; access control means for relaying data between the communication interface means and the terminal connection means, and controlling communication with the network device and terminal device; and first power supply control means which is connected to the access control means and controls power supply to the terminal connection means. The first power supply control means sets the terminal connection means to be in one operation state of a plurality of operation states including an active state in which communication with the terminal device is possible and a low power drive state in which the communication with the terminal device is not performed. The first power supply control means performs power supply control so as to shift the terminal connection means in the low power drive state to the active state on the basis of timing at which communication between the communication interface means and the network device is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
