Provided are a method and apparatus for removing a solid material of a by-product gas drain pipe capable of removing a solid material blocking each drain pipe equipped in the lower part of a by-product gas transfer pipe. Moreover, the method for removing a solid material of a by-product gas drain pipe comprises: a step of preparing a nozzle valve in a drain pipe; a step of checking an amount of condensate water overflowing from an overflow drain pipe; a step of blocking that by-product gas is supplied through the drain pipe when an amount of condensate water overflowing is checked below the set amount; a step of checking the extent of being blocked by a solid material through the nozzle valve inside the blocked drain pipe; and a step of ventilating air in the drain pipe by removing the solid material due to high-temperature steam or a water jet through the nozzle valve after the blocked extent is checked. The present invention has effects of quickly ventilating air without inconvenience in numbers of drain pipes, and increasing efficiency of removing impurities inside by-product gas thereby. |
