<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of draining a packed column and a packed column system which enable discharging liquid in the column with no residue without wasteful consumption of a pressurizing gas, e.g., nitrogen gas. <P>SOLUTION: The method of discharging a liquid from a packed column 1 packed with a filler and the packed column system are based on supplying a pressurizing gas from a gas source 7, e.g., a nitrogen gas cylinder to the packed column 1 so as to pressurize the liquid surface in the packed column 1 under the pressure of the gas. The pressure or flow rate of the pressurizing gas to be supplied to the packed column 1 is detected by a sensor 9 or 10, and, when the detected pressure becomes equal to or lower than a predetermined value or the detected flow rate becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined value, a valve 8a is closed to stop supply of the pressurizing gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
