The invention relates to a device for isolating and controlling pollination process that comprises a main body enclosure being adapted for placement over selected pollinating plants, and sufficiently sized to isolatedly accommodate and contain therein such plants. The enclosure has light penetrable impermeable enclosing sides, preferably plastic sheet covering, that prevent entry of stray pollens and/or warm the air thereinside, bringing about upwardly directed air flow or draft that facilitates the selected plant ventilation and pollination inducement; and/or at least one vent preferably disposed at the upper or top portion thereof with its vent opening preferably disposed on the downwind side thereof as installed onsite, and/or one or more openings preferably disposed downwardly of the vent opening at the lower and/or bottom portion of the enclosure. The openings, which facilitate and accommodate plant agitating means and entry of free air supply into the enclosure, prevent stray pollen contamination inside the enclosure. The vent, which is preferably provided with a shielding cover that prevents possible pollen contamination and rainwater entry, serves as exhaust for rising warm air, heat and/or moisture evaporation, promoting air flow or draft within the enclosure that prevents therein excessive heat build-up. |
