Disclosed are a system and method for alarming an abnormal state of an automation process. The system for alarming the abnormal state of the automation process according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a log collection unit collecting log data, generated by making a programmable logic controller (PLC) control the automation process facilities by a PLC program programmed using a ladder diagram; an abnormal state checking unit checking contact point information of facilities generating the abnormal state of the automation process by comparing a master pattern, generated by using the log, with normal state reference information of the automation process; and a diagram expression unit visualizing and outputting the contact point information of the facilities generating the abnormal state and time information of the abnormal state checked from the log in a diagram form.
