Producing strips (2) for producing molded parts comprising a polymer matrix and reinforcing staple fibers (3) embedded in the polymer matrix, using at least one fiber strip comprising the reinforcing staple fibers, comprises guiding the fiber strip comprising the reinforcing staple fibers through a molding device such that the fiber strip is brought into a predetermined cross-section on the output side of the molding device, and fixing the fiber strip brought into the predetermined cross-section, by a fixing device such that the predetermined cross-section is stabilized. Independent claims are also included for: (1) strips for producing the molded parts, produced by the above method; (2) a textile sheet material for producing the molded parts, comprising the strip; (3) the molded part formed by pressing the above textile sheet material; and (4) a device for producing the strip, comprising the molding device and the fixing device arranged downstream of the molding device.
