PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device configured to properly detect an operation position even when force is applied in an oblique direction.SOLUTION: An operation input device includes a connected body 130 having upward two slopes 130a forming a predetermined angle with respect to an operation plate 110. A strain body 140 is arranged on each of the slopes 130a. A vertex 130b of the upward slope 130a is arranged within a predetermined distance from a position of an outside surface 111 of an operation plate 110. The strain body 140, the connected body 130, and a strain detection section 150 are arranged inside a box-like operation section 120.
