PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of reducing weight and rolling resistance by thinning a sidewall part and capable of improving external damage resistance and durability.SOLUTION: In a pneumatic tire comprising a tread 1, a pair of sidewalls 2 and a pair of beads 3, plural carcass layers 4 including an inside carcass layer 4A and outside carcass layer 4B are mounted between the pair of beads 3, 3, and the inside and outside carcass layers 4A and 4B are wound up from a tire inside toward a tire outside around a bead core 5. The carcass layers 4A and 4B are composed respectively of a polyester fiber cord and aramid fiber cord, and the total fineness of the aramid fiber cord is 40-75% of that of the polyester fiber cord. The wind-up height Ha of the carcass layer 4A is higher than that height Hb of the carcass layer 4B. In the sidewall 2, the thickness t at a tire maximum width position Pmax of the rubber portion which is disposed outside the carcass layer 4 is 1.0 to 2.0 mm. |
