[Solution] The present invention provides a polarizing element that comprises a polyvinyl alcohol resin oriented film having iodine adsorbed thereon, said polarizing element containing 10-30 wt% of boric acid, 10000-60000 ppm of iodine ions, and 200-20000 ppm of chlorine ions. |
