<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable generation and reproduction of free viewpoint video containing a plurality of recommended viewpoints at the same time.SOLUTION: A free viewpoint image data generation device (1) comprises: an object arrangement data generation unit (2) which generates object coordinate data indicating an arrangement position of an object in background model data; a free viewpoint metadata generation unit (3) which generates recommended viewpoint arrangement data including object coordinate data, viewpoint coordinate data that indicates a position of a viewpoint, and rotation base point data that indicates an initial position of the direction of the viewpoint and also indicates the rotation center of the viewpoint at the time when free viewpoint display is performed, and which generates free viewpoint metadata from the object coordinate data and the recommended viewpoint arrangement data; an encoding unit (4) which encodes viewpoint image data and region image data for identifying a region of each object; and a multiplexing unit (5) which generates free viewpoint image data by multiplexing the free viewpoint metadata, the viewpoint image data, the region image data, and the background model data.</p> |
