<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain durability of a stave of a shaft furnace type metallurgical furnace, and to suppress heat loss of the furnace by the stave as much as possible, and further to achieve reduction of equipment costs required for the stave or the like.SOLUTION: A stave arrangement structure is such that in a furnace height direction, a cast iron made stave is arranged in a furnace upper part and a middle region (A) in which a heat load is small, lower than this, a copper or copper alloy stave is arranged in a furnace lower part region (B) in which a heat load is large, and lower than this a cast iron made stave or a copper or copper alloy stave is arranged in a lowermost part region (C), where a part or all of the copper or copper alloy stave is a cast copper stave.</p> |
