PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truck for maintenance of conventional railway lines, which can be safely placed by automatic operation of a parking brake even when an annular brake pipe is atmospherically opened.SOLUTION: A truck for maintenance comprises: a swing arm 21 connected to a brake mechanism 9; a return cylinder 25 connected to the swing arm 21; an intermediate lever 23 pivotally connected to a rod of the return cylinder 25; a pivotally supporting portion 24 for pivotally supporting one end of the intermediate lever 23; a snapping member 20 for a parking brake for imparting snapping/urging force F to the intermediate lever 23; and an annular brake pipe 16 to which compressed air is supplied from a towing motor car M. Under a travelling state, the truck draws in a rod of the return cylinder 25 by compressed air of the annular brake pipe 16 and swings the swing arm 21 to release a parking brake, and while the annular brake pipe 16 is disconnected from the motor car M and atmospherically opened, imparts snapping/urging force F to the intermediate lever 23 in a direction that operates the parking brake to the braking mechanism 9 so as to automatically operate the parking brake. |
