PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit oblique transfer of sheets with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A sheet transfer device 10 of the invention includes: a guide part 20a; an actuator 30a; a detection part 40; and a protruding part 50. The guide part 20a defines a sheet transfer path. The actuator 30a protrudes toward the sheet transfer path and contacts with a sheet transferred on the transfer path at one side relative to a center passing line E on which a center of the sheet transferred along the transfer path passes. The detection part 40 detects the sheet transferred on the transfer path on the basis of movement of the actuator 30a. The protruding part 50 is positioned at the other side relative to the center passing line E.
