<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly detect, by a small number of part items, a single abnormality of a microprocessor and duplex abnormalities of an external monitoring part and the microprocessor, in a function for mutually monitoring the abnormalities of the duplicated microprocessor, and an abnormality of an external monitoring function.SOLUTION: There is provided a steering control device 15 which is duplicated by a main microprocessor 16 for outputting a drive amount of a steering motor, and a sub-microprocessor 18 for calculating the drive amount in order to monitor an abnormality of the main microprocessor, and has mutual monitoring parts 27, 28. The steering control device comprises a main external monitoring part 17 and a sub-external monitoring part 19 which monitor abnormalities of the main and sub-microprocessors 16, 18. When the abnormalities are detected, both the main and sub-external monitoring parts 17, 19 transmit signals to the main and sub-microprocessors 16, 18.</p> |
