A variable capacity compressor of the present invention includes a rotary valve connected to a driving shaft. The rotary valve is stored in the center of a suction chamber of the variable capacity compressor, and extends through an opening formed on a cylinder block of the variable capacity compressor. The rotary valve includes an inlet cooperating with a cylinder to directly and continuously connecting the suction chamber and each cylinder for fluids.
