An apparatus for analyzing intellectual property includes: a communications interface which is connected to a user terminal to transmit and receive data; a memory which stores a command for analyzing intellectual property; and a processor which analyzes the intellectual property according to the command. The command includes the steps of: generating analysis data including a calculation value, obtained by processing at least one piece of patent information included in a population, based on a pattern set by analysis type; generating a comment parameter by analysis type according to the analysis data; generating a variable interpretation comment by analysis type according to the comment parameter; and generating a report including the analysis data and the variable interpretation comment by analysis type.
