The application provides a complex background card face information identification method and system. The method comprises the following steps: positioning a region where character information in an image of a card face to be identified in order to acquire one or more character information images; extracting complex characteristic vectors from the acquired character information images; and identifying character information in the character information images according to the complex characteristic vectors. Through the application, a problem concerned with accurate information identification under a complex card face background (such as a bank card) is solved, the defect that complex background card face information cannot be identified effectively and accurately in a conventional method based on threshold segmentation is overcome on the basis of complex image characteristics, the card face information identification accuracy is increased, and efficient identification of complex background card face information is realized. |
