Provided is a treatment tool (1) that is for atrial appendage ligation and that performs ligation treatment of an atrial appendage and is used together with an atrial appendage ligation tool having a ligating section (8), wherein the treatment tool (1) for atrial appendage ligation is provided with: a compression section (3) that is introduced into the pericardium separately from the ligating section (8) via a sheath penetrating the pericardial membrane, and that compresses an atrial appendage (A) from the outside to occlude the internal space; and a shaft (2) that is disposed in the state of being inserted within the sheath and that supports the compression section (3) at the tip.
