PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zirconia-based sintered body which is excellent in workability while keeping mechanical properties high and a pedestal for mounting an electronic component using the same.SOLUTION: This zirconia-based sintered body comprises 85-95 mass% of zirconia containing a stabilizing agent, 0.1-0.5 mass% (expressed in terms of AlO) of Al, 0.1-1 mass% (expressed in terms of NiO) of Ni, 0.5-5 mass% (expressed in terms of CrO) of Cr, 0.5-5 mass% (expressed in terms of FeO) of Fe, and 0.05-0.5 mass% (expressed in terms of SiO) of Si. Herewith, the zirconia-based sintered body is made excellent in workability while keeping mechanical properties high. |
