A wave-shaping circuit for insertion on a wired signal path between a transmitter and a receiver. The circuit comprises: an input; an output; a first impedance network of at least second order; a second impedance network of at least second order; and a gain circuit. The first impedance network is connected in parallel with the gain circuit, between the input and ground. The second impedance network is connected in series with the gain circuit, either between the gain circuit and the output or between the input and the gain circuit. In use, the wave-shaping circuit can be used to shape a signal between the transmitter and the receiver as desired. For example, at least one harmonic in a signal waveform may be reduced to reduce the electromagneticinterference of a trapezoidal signal. |
