PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation in the number of rotations of an internal combustion engine occurring when a mesh type engagement mechanism is changed to a disengaged state.SOLUTION: A control unit controls a hybrid vehicle including an internal combustion engine, a differential mechanism having a dynamo-electrical machine and drive axle linked, and an engagement mechanism that fixes one of plural rotating elements so as to disable the rotating element from rotating in an engaged state in which a pair of mesh type engagement elements are engaged with each other, and restricts the rotation of the dynamo-electrical machine. The control unit includes control means that controls the dynamo-electrical machine so that, when the engagement mechanism is switched from the engaged state to a disengaged state, a torque which is applied to one rotating element and counters a torque of the internal combustion engine can be outputted while being increased or decreased. The control means controls the dynamo-electrical machine so that if the number of rotations of the engine increases after the engagement mechanism is changed into the disengaged state, the countering torque can be outputted so as to decrease, and if the number of rotations of the engine decreases, the countering torque can be outputted to increase. |
