<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing apparatus configured to reduce the amount of developer stored, and to reliably pump up the developer, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing apparatus includes: a development housing having a housing section for storing developer; a developer holding body having a magnet member with a plurality of magnetic poles; a conveyance member arranged in the housing section, having a support shaft and a spiral blade, and conveying agitated developer to the developer holding body; a layer thickness regulation member arranged opposite a lower outside surface of a cylindrical member, with a gap, to regulate a layer thickness of the developer held on the developer holding body; and a projection member which is arranged at an upper end of an inner wall surface of the housing section, between the layer thickness regulation member and the conveyance member, keeps a gap with a rotation trajectory of the conveyance blade, protrudes in a horizontal direction toward a side apart from the layer thickness regulation member beyond the inner wall located closest to the layer thickness regulation member, and extends downstream in a rotation direction of the conveyance member.</p> |
