PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device that can reduce a driving voltage, and a driver and a semiconductor relay that use the semiconductor device.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device 1 has a light emission device 2 for converting an electrical signal to light, and a photodetector 3 for converting light output from the light emission device 2 to an optical signal. According to the thus-constructed semiconductor device 1, signals, etc. can be transmitted while keeping electrical insulation between a primary-side circuit electrically-connected to the light emission device 2 and a secondary-side circuit electrically-connected to the photodetector 3. The light emission device 2 is configured to emit light by applying an input voltage of 1.13 V or less to the light emission device 2.
