The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating a cancer including 4-isopropyl-2-(1-phenylethyl)aniline as an active ingredient. The 4-isopropyl-2-(1-phenylethyl)aniline according to the present invention controls propagation of cancer cell in various cancer cell hosts, and increases activity of signal transmitting protein inducing destruction of cancer cell, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition or a functional food composition for preventing, eliminating, or treating cancer.
