PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leak test apparatus capable of detecting leakage from a joint part of a pipe-like component, having an opening mounted by welding or screwing in a container for storing a liquid or gas, with proper working efficiency, and in a short time in a manufacturing line of containers. SOLUTION: The apparatus is equipped with a holding means 4 for fixing the container 1, a sealing plug 5 for sealing the opening of the pipe-like component 2, a pressing means 6 for pressing the sealing plug 5 into the opening of the pipe-like component 2, a test head 7 for covering the joint part 3, a valve 9 for keeping the inside of the test head 7, in a state of negative pressure, after setting the inside into a state of negative pressure via an exhaust pipe 8 connected to the test head 7, and a vacuum gauge 10 for measuring the pressure of the inside of the test head 7.
