PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing silver nanoparticles as a liquid phase synthesis method using water as a solvent capable of easily forming silver nanoparticles comprising a natural polymer compound and having excellent dispersion stability by a simple process without adding a reducing agent. SOLUTION: Silver oxide and a compound comprising having 1, 4-glycosidic bond as a natural polymer compound such as starch, dextrin, amylose and amylopectin are heated at≤80°C in a water solvent, so as to obtain the silver nanoparticles having excellent dispersion stability.
