An apparatus and a method for transferring a call in a mobile terminal are provided to support a call transfer function in a network in which a call forwarding function is not supported. A memory unit(110) stores phone numbers of callers to which a call is to be transferred. An incoming call number comparing unit(130) checks an origination number of a received call, and if the checked phone number is a phone number stored in the memory unit, the incoming call number comparing unit extracts information of a phone number to which the received call is to be transferred corresponding to the origination number. An incoming call transfer message unit(140) receives the information about the phone number to which the call is to be transferred corresponding to the origination number from the incoming call number comparing unit, and generates an incoming call transfer request message for transferring the call to the received phone number. An RF unit(120) transmits the incoming call transfer request message to a base station. A control unit(150) controls the incoming call number comparing unit and the incoming call transfer message unit. |
