Provided herein is a method for the treatment of a wound using a wound treatment regimes for treating a chronic wound, the regimen comprising; a) applying reduced pressure to the wound; and b) treating the wound with a substantially non-toxic, non-irritating organic or inorganic aganocide composition while applying reduced pressure to the wound.
