PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepping motor which can be further thinned, even if notches are provided to portions on which the tip ends of a plurality of pole teeth standing from the end plate part on the other side are positioned, respectively. SOLUTION: In a first stator core 41 and a second stator core 42 in the stator groups 4A, 4B of the stepping motor 1, the portions on which the tip ends of the plurality of pole teeth 411, 421 standing from the end on the other side are formed as the notches 414, 424 leading from the rotor insertion hole of the end plate toward the radially outward direction, the notches 414, 424 positioned near the long sides of notches 414, 424 are formed as the first notches 414a, 424a notched from the rotor insertion holes 413, 425 to the long sides.
