PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degradable composition that enables pattern-formation with a laser while making high degradability compatible with sufficient preservation stability, and a pattern-forming material such as a flexographic printing plate using the composition. SOLUTION: The composition has a group that has a hydrogen atom capable of hydrogen-binding with an atom having an unshared electron pair, includes an organic compound having a group capable of forming two or more hydrogen-bonds, and enables the pattern-formation by laser abrasion.
