PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the range of selection of a recording element board when selecting a usable recording element board out of ones having different discharge amounts so as to keep discharge amounts in printing constant all over recording heads. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder has the recording heads, each constituted of an array of plurality of recording element boards, and is provided with: a temperature control means for maintaining each of the plurality of recording element boards in the constant temperature range; and a discharge amount control means for controlling the discharge amounts of the plurality of recording element boards to be nearly equal to a target amount within the temperature range.
