The instrument includes a tuner for high-frequency data signals, memory for storing different identifications of the receiving channels within the satellite frequency level, and decoding and demultiplexing unit for processing the receiving channels. An LED indicator (AS) is connected to a microprocessor to display satellite position. The microprocessor is programmed to evaluate the measured values determined from the received high-frequency signals. The instrument is arranged between a satellite receiver or multi-switch, and low noise block (LNB) receiving converter of satellite antenna.
