PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing apparatus and related items which can save the time and effort for sticking image data to document data in the user side, resulting in improve the workability and can stick arbitrary image data desired by the user to the same. SOLUTION: The data processing apparatus includes a document-data receiving means 25A, capable of receiving document data with link information, an extraction means 21 for extracting the link information from the received document data, a scanner means 26 for reading images of the original, a receiving means 25A for receiving programs, and a sticking means 21 for sticking the readout image data to the document data, in accordance with the extracted link information. The received program includes setting of either one or more of the original-image reading processing, image-data sticking processing, and processing by using the complete document on which the image data is stuck.
