A control apparatus for a linear compressor is provided to prevent inrush current by varying total capacitance of the total control apparatus and controlling output, and to more effectively prevent the inrush current by controlling a NO/OFF switch of the linear compressor when varying capacitance. A control apparatus for a linear compressor comprises a coil winding body(L), a first capacitor(C1), a variable capacitance part(50) and a controller(60). The coil winding body is laminated in a circumferential direction of the linear compressor, and forms at least one winding tap or more. The first capacitor has one end serially connected to the coil winding body. The variable capacitance part has one end connected to the winding tap of the coil winding body so as to prevent an inrush current, and the other end connected to the other end of the first capacitor, and has structure parallel to the first capacitor. The controller induces output variation of the linear compressor by controlling the variable capacitance part and varying total capacitance of the control apparatus.
