<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially advantageously producing a color filter having such high reliability and high quality as not to cause deterioration in display quality due to faulty alignment of a liquid crystal, malfunction of TFT and inadequate voltage control. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter is obtained by forming light shielding pixels and pixels of three primary colors on a transparent substrate, wherein the pixels of three primary colors have a thickness difference in the pixels of ≤0.6 μm. In the method for producing the color filter obtained by forming light shielding pixels and pixels of three primary colors on a transparent substrate, the light shielding pixels are formed through (1) a step of forming a pigment-containing resin film by applying and drying a pigment-containing photosensitive resin composition on the transparent substrate, (2) a step of exposing the pigment-containing resin film through a mask and (3) a step of developing the pigment-containing resin film with a liquid which dissolves the unexposed portion of the pigment-containing resin film, and then the pixels of three primary colors are formed, wherein the photosensitive resin composition is applied so that the thickness of the pigment-containing resin film after drying is set to ≤1.5 μm, and the pixels of three primary colors are formed so that the thickness difference in the pixels is reduced to ≤0.6 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
